Take away Sixto, he has no fault at all but the so called ‘documentary’ is loaded with bullshit.

And it wins awards!

Rage hard.

Firstly, it states that the phenomena of Sixto, started as some boot leg cassette smuggled into South Africa and passed on.

Really? I doubt that any Rhodesian alive has not a perfect recording on LP from a master tape we had. I have three. Cold fact and Greatest hits. Notice, Rhodesia is never mentioned in the ‘documentary’.

Secondly – the biggest lie of all.

That his music was banned in South Africa and contributed to the downfall of apartheid South Africa.

What? Really. Notice that when he appears on a concert stage, the entire audience are white.

Where is the politics now?  Fuck all. He just made nice music with lyrics predicting a future and present day reality.

Correctly pointed out – he was fucked over on royalties and just went back to work on building sites.

Did he believe that his music would contribute to the downfall of a segregated society zillions of miles away from his home base he writes about ? Detroit.

Hardly. His lyrics just make a point with no particular statement of blame but society itself.
