Standing at the bus stop one day.
I was standing at the bus stop one day. I was waiting for a bus. Oddly, I was in a small crowd even after waiting five days for the bus. (Though they did smell a bit and were noisy and drank lots of cheap lead-free petrol.)
I think the bus was a little late.
I looked again at the bus schedule.
It was a bit burnt and in German.

Finally – I stopped a passer by that had passed me by
almost a week long looking at me oddly.
‘Heil Hitler’ – I greeted her. Why no bus?
She replied – and, her English was better than mine -
‘This bus stop was bombed by the British in 1944 and in 2018, is only used by bums and tramps to sleep in.’
Oh!
